"Christmas Carols and Classic Cakes"

A choral workshop was held on Wednesday evening, Oct. 20, 2004 at St. John's United Church in Brockville, Ontario.  The workshop was led by Peter Shepherd, organist at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church in Brockville.

The session began at 6:15 p.m. with warm up exercises before delving into the Christmas Carol Booklet containing public domain music which was compiled by Peter Shepherd .

Contingents from the following choirs participated in this event, making a total of 42 choristers:

Delta United Church

Lansdowne United Church

Mallorytown United Church

Merrickville United Church

St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Williamstown

St. Paul's United Church, Prescott

Wall St. United Church, Brockville

Instead of our usual Meet, Eat and Sing event with a potluck supper, we thought we would try something a little different.  This one turned into a gourmet dessert party after the singing.

The gourmet cakes made by Caterer, Moira Taylor, were absolutely wonderful.  Served with the cakes were a delicious punch, tea and coffee.

The event was enjoyed by all.
