Launch of Gardens:A Literary Companion, edited by Merilyn Simonds

Part of Douglas & McIntyre's Natural Wonders Series, this anthology brings together twenty literary writers musing on the garden, from Pliny on the smell of good ground and John Gerard on the marvellous potato to Colette extolling the captive gardens of Paris and Germaine Greer as Rosemary Blight poking fun at London's horticultural streetscapes.

Intensive, intimate workshop for 5 participants at my stone farmhouse in the countryside near the village of Athens in eastern Ontario
9:30 am - 4:30 pm includes catered lunch and refreshments

Fee is $250 plus GST. Next-day private consultations available at $50/hour. Apply by April 15 with 20-30 manuscript pages, a project description, and application form, available from simonds@ripnet.com.

Successful applicants will be notified by mid-May.

Online manuscript evaluations and mentorships also available.
