CHILDREN & YOUTH
Kid’s Church: Sundays at 10:00 a.m. (Click on link for more).
Prescott KidZ Choir: Rehearsals at St. Paul’s on Sundays from 5:30 -- 7:00. Two concerts are held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Upwards of 50 children ages 4 to 15 participate. The next concert will take place on May 6, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. See web site: pkcmusicals.vpweb.ca
Scouts: Meet in the church auditorium on Tuesdays from 6:30-- 8:30 p.m.
WOMEN’S GROUP
The Ladies’ Guild along with its affiliate, The Cupboard Shop, are engaged in fundraising activities, promoting or hosting celebrations connected with the church, and funding the church’s weekly newspaper ad. Unless otherwise advertised, the Guild meets the third Monday of each month. In December the Christmas meeting is held in the Harbour Lounge at Prescott Place with Cupboard volunteers as invited guests. The May meeting is a special noon hour birthday gathering at a restaurant.
ECUMENICAL GROUPS
Seaway Ecumenical Fellowship group is for men and women and meets the third Saturday of each month for 8 o’clock breakfast at a modest cost of $6.00. Short devotions are held, repeating of the Mission Statement, community announcements, special speakers, and on occasion, Christmas, for example, special entertainment. This group was founded eleven years ago and is involved in the promotion and support of worthy causes both at home and abroad.
Men’s Discussion Group meets the fourth Saturday of each month at Piccolo Restaurant on King St., Prescott at 8:30 a.m. This is an open invitation for all men in Prescott and area to come together for breakfast and casual discussion of current affairs and topics of relevance in their lives. This group started up in 2009 at St. Paul's United Church and has grown in popularity and numbers which prompted the move to their present location. Contact person: John Vande Burgt, 613.925.1372.
MUSIC AND DANCE
Senior Choir: practice is at 3:00 p.m. on Thursdays. Consider joining the choir, share your musical talents and benefit from some great fellowship as well.
The Messengers: Small group of men and women who provide some gospel and other types of music on various Sunday mornings. Practice is at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesdays. A great group to join if you love music.
Line Dancing: This is a popular Wednesday evening activity from 5:45 to 7:00 p.m. for men, women and children. Instructors: Sue Williams (613.925.2223) and Sandra Campbell (613.348.3663)
ST. LAWRENCE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL
St. Paul's provides rehearsal facilities in the auditorium each summer for the Shakespeare actors. The 2012 festival will feature "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Othello" and will take place in the amphitheatre at the Sandra S. Lawn Harbour.
