Ecumenical Fellowship Group
Mission Statement: To
provide a forum for like-minded individuals for fellowship and to express
Christian Faith in the community.
Planning Committee members, Janice Reynolds and Sharon Hinton, chose a humourous way to apprise the group and their guests about the 68th Summer Event 2009. The Event will be held from July 24th to the 26th at the Kemptville Campus of the University of Guelph.
The theme will be “Fools for God – The Lighter Side of Faith” and is a project of the United Church of Canada, Montreal & Ottawa Conference. This is a weekend of sharing, worship, music and fellowship for men, women and youth. Anyone wishing additional information is encouraged to contact Janice at 613-925-0973.
In addition, ten children in the junior choir of the South Edwardsburg Public School brought down the house with their renditions, including two songs that were performed at the Brockville Music Festival where they were awarded a silver medal. We look forward to welcoming the choir again at our Christmas breakfast.
Chairman John Reynolds made a pitch for the next meeting to be held on Saturday September 19th with guest speaker Crystle Mazurek who will update the group on her Indian Village project. All are welcome to join us at 8 am at St Paul’s United Church in pretty Prescott on the mighty St Lawrence River.
Respectfully submitted.
