Raised Panel Solid Cherry Headboard (King size)
- This project is inspired from a Woodsmith Magazine article featuring a similar headboard.
- The original had surface mounted panels and were not to my liking so I adapted their design to a traditional frame & panel design. The only other modifications were dimensional changes to fit the King size bed.
- Finish is one coat of Boiled Linseed Oil to pop the grain topped with sanding sealer and 2 coats of Chemcraft satin sheen 35 lacquer.
The lighting leaves the pics a bit "off" and looking a bit blotchy and dark in areas that should not be. Maybe I will take some in full daylight sometime:)
Note that the pine blanket box is temporary. The Woodsmith series included a Cherry blanket box and nightstands that will follow soon.
