From experience one of the most difficult and costly parts to obtain for your cyclone project is the electric motor. The 5HP Leeson Motor I used (the same one recommended by Bill Pentz) now sells from Leeson dealers and electric motor shops for $550-$650. The only choice up until now was to import a Leeson motor from the US supplier on Bill's website paying exchange, shipping and a hefty brokerage charge ($40-$50 CDN) plus taxes.
